Urban Rivers and Catchments Program

Funding projects that conserve native and threatened species and improve the ecological health of urban waterways.

This grant is part of the Government's Nature Positive agenda and will fund projects via two size-defined streams:

  • Stream 1: Small-to-medium-specific - projects with a grant value from $150,000 - $2,000,000
  • Stream 2: Large-specific - projects with a grant value from $2,000,000 - $10,000,000. Please note, this stream will only accept applications from State or Territory Governments.

Deadline: 13 February 2024

Green Links Grant Program

Funding to improve local habitats, water quality, and provide green spaces for communities around urban creeks and rivers.

For Cooper-based applicants, only projects connected to Darebin Creek, Edgars Creek, Merri Creek, 

Deadline: 14 December 2023

Amount: $20,000 - $2,000,000

BushBank Public Land Grants

Funding to address climate change and create and re-build wildlife habitat through initiative to restore more than 20,000 hectares of land across Victoria.

Grants will be awarded to projects designed to restore public land, including publicly owned freehold land.

Successful applications will also meet any number of the objectives of BushBank, which are to:

  • Improve habitat for threatened flora and fauna
  • Increase carbon sequestration and storage
  • Use increased community interest in climate protection to invest in biodiverse carbon projects
  • Support First Nations Peoples' self-determination

Deadline: 4 December 2023

Amount: $5,000,000 funding pool
