Aged Care Registered Nurses' Payment to Reward Clinical Skills and Leadership

Rewards clinical skills and leadership and assists in attracting and retaining Registered Nurses in the Aged Care sector.

Open to RNs who have been employed by the same eligible employer from the full period of 1 November 2022 to 31 October 2023 to receive the full payment, or from 1 May 2023 to 31 October 2023 to receive the six-month payment. Applications must be submitted by RNs' employers.

Deadline: 20 December 2023

Amount: Up to $6,000

Aged Care Capital Assistance Program Thin Markets, Multiple Streams

Aged care infrastructure grants for maintenance and growth of access to quality aged care services for target groups.

Target groups include:

  • First Nations communities
  • Regional, rural and remote areas
  • The homeless, or people at risk of becoming homeless
  • Patients with complex and diverse needs such as dementia

Deadline: 12 January 2024

Amount: $602.9 million funding pool

Targeted Call for Research: Commercial Determinants of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health 2023

NHMRC

A one-time request for grant applications to address significant research gap or unmet needs relating to a specific health issue.

Grants to encourage innovative research on ATSI health and its connection with social, cultural and economic factors. Applications can relate to issues such as racism, housing, gambling, sexual health, nutrition, inactivity, employment, environmental impacts, connection to Country, etc.

Deadline: 29 November 2023

Amount: $5,000,000 funding pool

Partnerships Projects

NHMRC

Providing funding and support to create new avenues for researchers and policy makers to undertake research, and interpret and implement the findings into policy and practice.

Applications will only be considered from organisations that primarily deliver health policy and/or health services, or organisations that receive a waiver from NHMRC.

Deadline: 29 November 2023

Amount: Up to $1,500,000
