LABOR SUPPORTING UPGRADES TO THE KOUCHKOVSKI SOCIAL CLUB
Labor Member for Cooper, Ged Kearney today announced that a re-elected Albanese Labor Government will support the Kouchkovski Social Club with upgrades to its facilities.
This $28,000 election commitment will support upgrades to the ageing building including improvements to its roofing.
A local meeting place for the Macedonian communities in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, the Kouchkovski Social Club keeps the community engaged and connected through local events and activities centred around cultural celebrations and festivals.
These upgrades will be able to ensure that the facility can support the community in years to come.
The commitment reflects the Albanese Labor Government’s pledge to ensure multicultural communities in Melbourne are supported and have the infrastructure they need for their communities.
Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.
